Hot weather returns: Heat index to reach near 100 degrees this weekend

We are in for another hot weekend across southeast Wisconsin!

A ridge will be building across the upper Midwest, and as winds turn out of the south, tropical heat and moisture will surge our way.

On Saturday, temperatures will warm into the upper 80s and low 90s.

With dew points around 70°, you will certainly notice the humidity.

That means 'feels like' temperatures Saturday will be in the mid-90s.

Sunday looks even warmer, with highs in the low 90s and dew points in the mid-70s.

Yuck.

That means the heat index values will climb to around 100°! It will feel downright tropical.

The only possible wrench in the forecast for Sunday will be the potential for rain and storms. As of now, it looks like storms won't arrive until late afternoon or evening. But, should they arrive earlier, that could argue for slightly cooler temperatures.
