Wind chills will get below zero Tuesday night through Wednesday morning

and last updated

We woke up with temps in the teens, flurries and wind chills below zero this morning. Yesterday’s 46 is now a distant memory as we shiver for a few days. Most of today was sunny, but it didn’t help warm us up. We hit a high near 20 with wind chills in the single digits all day. The wind has diminished to 10-15 mph for this evening and tonight, but under a clear sky, temps fall into the single digits and wind chills of -5 to -15 by morning. We stay sunny and cold on Wednesday with a high of only 18 and wind chills near 0 all day.

A warm front moves into the area Wednesday night with flurries overnight, and Thursday is mostly cloudy and windy with gusts to 30 mph and a high of 37…normal. There is another chance for flurries and light snow Thursday evening with just a dusting. We stay cloudy on Friday with a high of 40. By evening, there is a chance for a light rain/snow mix. That storm system is here on Saturday with light morning snow followed by an after wintry mix with a high of 36. Behind the cold front, Sunday is sunny, breezy and cold with highs in the 20s.
