With wind chills, temps drop below zero Friday morning

and last updated

Wednesday morning was in the single digits with wind chills below zero. This morning was 34 thanks to the strong southerly wind. That wind was strong all day with gusts over 35 mph, a lot of sun and highs near 40. Wind chills were in the upper 20s but that is so much better than later tonight with the wind chills dipping below zero again. The cold front will be here later this evening with a few flurries and a gusty NW wind. By morning, Milwaukee is 12 and inland areas down to 7 with wind chills of -3 to -8. Friday afternoon is sunny for the third day in a row but it will be cold with highs in the teens, a brisk wind and wind chills near 0 all day.

Saturday morning is cold with a low of 6 in Milwaukee to -3 inland, but the wind is light so wind chills will not be much worse. Saturday starts out sunny, but clouds quickly increase with the next storm getting closer. Snow will hold off until after 7pm and the best chance for snow is overnight into Sunday morning. SE Wisconsin will see 2-4" of snow by midday Sunday. Unless this storm slows down, the snow looks to be done in Green Bay before kickoff. Sundays high is near 30 with a light wind and Monday is windy with another chance for snow from a storm passing to our south.
