Sunny and comfortable for Tuesday

and last updated

Saturday was miserable, Sunday was so much better except for the gusty wind, and Monday was ideal after the chilly morning. Sunshine, light wind, very dry air and highs in the mid 60s thanks to a huge area of high pressure in the middle part of the country. This pattern will persist most of the week, and because the air is dry with a light breeze and a clear sky, morning lows will be in the 30s and 40s. Tuesday is sunny and comfortable with morning lows near 40, highs in the mid 60s and a light lake breeze.

Wednesday is also sunny and ideal with highs in the upper 60s and dry air, but things start to change Thursday with more humidity, increasing clouds and highs near 70. It is a great day until after 4 p.m., when showers start to move in. Thursday night and Friday are rainy, and it will be heavy at times Friday. We could see up to 1 inch of rain by Friday evening. Friday is in the mid 60s with a strong southerly wind to 30 mph. The cold front moves through Friday night and then comes the BIG changes. Lows drop to near 40 with gusty winds and a light rain/flurry mix. Saturday is only in the mid 40s with a 30 to 40 mph wind, clouds, sprinkles and flurries .,. yes, flurries. Sunday morning is in the mid 30s and the afternoon is mid 40s with some clouds and a very gusty wind. It will be the first cold blast of the fall.
