Storms moving through Thursday night

and last updated

Another day of heat indices in the mid to upper 90s before storms developed in the northern counties after 3pm. There has been a risk for large hail, but the slow-moving storms are creating torrential downpours and flash flooding in Dodge County.

The downpours are slowly drifting SE and look to be in Milwaukee by 9pm. Severe weather is still a risk, but watch out for the heavy rain, urban flooding, and lightning. Scattered downpours continue overnight with lows near 70. It is the last night of muggy weather!

Friday has a chance for morning downpours then we have a humid high of 84. It is cooler because of the clouds. The more sun we get midday the better chance for severe weather in the late afternoon and evening. Southern WI is under an enhanced risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe storms Friday afternoon and evening.

The cold front finally pushes through and the weather changes dramatically for the weekend. Saturday is sunny, breezy and dry with highs in the upper 70s. Sunday morning is in the 50s and the afternoon is sunny and 73.
