Few inches of snow expected to fall across SE Wisconsin

and last updated

The radar is showing snow quickly approaching the area this afternoon. We’ll be dealing with moderate to heavy snowfall and gusty winds up to 35 mph for most of this evening and tonight. Temperatures will hold steady in the 30s for tonight and most of the area is still on track to receive 3-5” of snow; farther north and west 5-7” of snow will be possible. Heading into Wednesday, there will be some rain or sleet mixing with snow at times in the morning. The balance of the day on Wednesday will be cloudy and breezy with temperatures falling from the upper 30s into the 20s.

Thursday will be cold and partly cloudy with highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Thursday night into Friday morning we’ll be tracking an area of low pressure lifting out of Texas which will likely first bring a wintry mix into the area. We should see this wintry mix change over to all snow late Friday afternoon. Highs on Friday will range from the low to mid 30s. Saturday continues to look mostly cloudy and dry with highs in the lower 30s.
