Winter weather advisory issued for all of southeast Wisconsin until Thursday afternoon

****WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ISSUED FOR KENOSHA, RACINE, WASHINGTON, OZAUKEE, MILWAUKEE, SHEBOYGAN, WALWORTH, FOND DU LAC, DODGE, JEFFERSON, AND WAUKESHA COUNTIES UNTIL 3:00 P.M. THURSDAY****

The next 24 hours will be very interesting with an evolving winter weather situation across SE Wisconsin.

It all kicks off tonight with some rain/wintry mix that will change to snow around midnight. Not much accumulation can be expected tonight due to the mix and temperatures slowing getting colder but farther away from the lake, up to an inch will be possible. Lows tonight will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s. Thursday will be windy with snow. 1-3” of accumulation can be expect with some locally higher totals possible farther south and west. Expect highs in the lower 30s for Thursday afternoon.

Friday will continue to be cold with mostly cloudy skies and the chance for some flurries in the afternoon. Highs will range from the mid to upper 30s. On Saturday morning some flurries will be possible then conditions will stay mostly cloudy with highs near 40°. On Sunday expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 40s. Rain looks likely for Monday with a high near 44°.
