A breezy Monday with slow clearing

and last updated

We're nearing the end of our wet weather after a half an inch of rain up to nearly two inches of rain fell over the last 48 hours, 1.55" in Milwaukee. Any stray sprinkle or light rain shower will exit by midnight tonight but the wind will still be strong this evening with gusts up to 35mph.

Monday will start with cloudy skies and some slow clearing is anticipated as the day progresses. It will be breezy and cool with highs in the mid-40s, feeling colder due to the clouds and wind but at least it will be dry. More of the same is expected for Tuesday with mostly to partly cloudy skies and a breezy wind this time from the northeast which may bring a few lake effect flurries on shore, though most of us won't see a flake.

Wednesday will start to warm up a bit with highs back in the upper 40s after barely reaching the 40s on Tuesday. Under partly cloudy skies and a lighter wind it will feel much more like the start to April. A few April showers are possible late on Thursday after a pretty pleasant day with a high around 50 degrees in Milwaukee. There are much better chances for rain on Friday and some scattered chances heading into the weekend with highs in the upper 40s.
