Winter Weather Advisory in effect for all of southeast Wisconsin, several inches of snow expected

*****WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ALL OF SE WISCONSIN UNTIL 6PM SATURDAY****

The snow has arrived on schedule and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6pm Saturday for all of SE Wisconsin. Expect 2” of fluffy snow by 10pm with SE winds at 20-35 mph causing blowing and drifting. We will wake up with 3-5” of snow by Saturday morning, but temps will rise above freezing after 6am so we will have sleet, rain and freezing rain Saturday morning. We are only expecting an additional inch of snow before noon for a total of 4-6” of snow. With the strong SE wind, we could see some higher amounts from Mequon to Sheboygan. The snow tapers off to flurries in the afternoon and after a high of 37, the wind shifts to the west at 20-40 mph and temps drop into the 20s. By 9pm, the wind chill will be below zero.

Sunday morning is windy and cold with lows near 0 and wind chills close to -20. Sunday is mostly sunny and windy with a high of 14 and wind chills below zero all day. The Packers will be playing in sunshine with highs near 60 in California. Monday is sunny and cold with a high of 18, Tuesday sunny and 21, and Wednesday has some flurries with a high of 33.
