After a sunny and nice day with highs in the lower 40s, the light rain moved in after 3pm…right on time, and showers and downpours develop in the late evening and overnight. You might hear some rumbles of thunder overnight. We will see more than 1” of rain by Wednesday morning. That could have been a foot of snow, but we will be too warm.
Temps are near 40 this evening, and actually rise into the mid to upper 40s by morning. Central and northern Wisconsin are not as lucky…they are expecting 8-14” of snow, and some areas could see even higher amounts by Wednesday late afternoon.
We continue to see light rain early on Wednesday with a light wintry mix in the afternoon with little to no snow accumulation. The big issue on Wednesday is the wind gusting at 35 to 50 mph. All of SE Wisconsin is under a wind advisory from 8am until 6pm Thanksgiving is quiet for travelers with clouds and highs in the upper 30s. That is the quiet day for the holiday weekend.
Friday morning has a LIGHT wintry mix followed by rain likely in the afternoon with a high of 38. The rain continues on Saturday, and heavy at times, with a high of 42 and a SE wind to 30 mph. As the colder air moves in on Sunday, light snow is expected…stay tuned for the weekend forecast.
