Friday will be the start of a warm-up that lasts through the weekend. This afternoon's highs will climb into the upper 80s with slightly more humidity compared to Thursday. The day will feature lots of sunshine and dry conditions.
Saturday and Sunday will be very warm with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Saturday will likely be the warmer of the two days, with heat index values in the upper 90s to near 100-degrees. Remember to take precautions to avoid heat exhaustion, including staying hydrated and avoiding strenuous activity outdoors during the mid day heat.
*** A Heat Advisory will go into effect Saturday at 1 pm and continue through 8 pm. Heat index values across Southern Wisconsin during this time frame will potentially climb as high at 104°.***
There is a chance for storms over the weekend, some of which could be strong. It looks like there will be a few storms over northern WI on Saturday morning, but in SE Wisconsin we should stay dry through the first part of the day. There is a better chance for storms late Saturday night into Sunday morning. A few of these storms could be strong to severe, with hail and strong winds. Be sure to stay weather aware this weekend, and check back with TMJ4 over the weekend for updates.
