Preparing for cold air and the potential for snow this week

and last updated

Saturday night was miserable weather-wise. 1-2” of rain, winds gusting to 40 mph and wind chills in the 30s. The rain moved out before sunrise with lows near 40, and today was gorgeous. Mostly sunny, breezy and mild with highs near 60. There is a cold front moving into the area tonight with increasing clouds and lows in the mid to upper 30s by morning. Behind a cold front, Monday is mostly cloudy and cooler with a high in the mid to upper 40s and afternoon drizzle. Rain moves in by evening, and rain is likely Monday night into Tuesday morning. There is a good chance to see snowflakes mixed in with the rain as well.

After the morning mix, Tuesday afternoon is sunny and cold with a high of 42. Wednesday morning has an isolated rain/snow mix, otherwise it is breezy and cold with highs in the lower 40s. Another storm system moves in Wednesday night and Thursday with rain and snow likely, highs struggling to hit 40 and strong winds near 30 mph.
