Hot Monday night, chance of severe weather overnight

and last updated

The heat and humidity are on with highs in the low to mid 90s today and steamy humidity putting heat indices in the upper 90s this afternoon. The sky was sunny, but hazy from the high humidity and smoke from the California wildfires. This evening has a very slight chance for showers, but the best chance is for storms after midnight until 6am. SE Wisconsin is under a slight risk for severe storms overnight tonight into early Tuesday morning.

Morning lows are near 70 with the muggy air and the scattered t’showers should be out of here before 8am. The rest of the day is clearing, warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. It is 10-12 degrees cooler on Tuesday because of a light east breeze off the lake, but the humidity stays high.

The high heat returns on Wednesday with a high of 93 and heat indices in the upper 90s. There will be not much help from clouds as it will be a sunny day. Thursday is hot and steamy with highs near 90 and look for t’’storms to develop after 7pm and into Thursday night with a cold front. Friday has showers and t’showers likely from the remnants of Laura that hits Louisiana on Wednesday as a hurricane. The rain and humidity get out of here for the weekend with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
