A few sprinkles for the morning commute Thursday

and last updated

Last night’s downpours dropped 2-4” of rain across SE Wisconsin with widespread flooding. There were even 2 tornadoes (Fort Atkinson and Wales). The light rain moved out this morning, but we stayed cloudy, windy and much cooler with temps only in the 50s. The northerly wind to 30 mph added to the chill. More rain is moving into the area for the evening commute and overnight, but it will not be the downpours of last night. Tonight’s rain is about 0.25” and will linger into the morning hours of Thursday. Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 50s with patchy fog. The afternoon is windy (NW 15-30 mph) and cloudy with highs in the lower 60s, and more importantly, no rain!

Friday is sunny, DRY and cool with temps in the 50s. More rain arrives for Saturday, especially in the afternoon and evening with about 1” of rain expected. Saturday is windy and cool as well with a high near 60. Sunday is rain free and sunny with highs in the lower 60s and a lot of sun. A westerly wind at 25 mph is the only issue. We need a stretch of dry weather and we get it next week with sunshine Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
