Milwaukee weather Wednesday Morning: wintry mix

The sunshine returned today, and after a frosty morning, Today was mild with highs in the mid to upper 40s and a westerly breeze at 10-15 mph. Clouds return late tonight, and there is a chance for a rain/snow mix after 3am until 9am with less than an inch of snow north of Milwaukee on the grass and cars. Any accumulation quickly melts with highs near 40 and scattered rain in the afternoon.

Thursday is the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid 50s, but afternoon showers are likely, and there is even a chance for thunder. Those downpours will drop a half to 1” of rain by Thursday evening. As temps drop Thursday night, a few snowflakes are possible Friday morning, and the rest of the day is cloudy and windy with temps in the 30s and wind chills in the teens.
