After a beautiful day of sunshine and warm temperatures, we are going to be gearing up for a wet and stormy end to the holiday weekend. Tonight will be mostly clear and quiet with lows in the 50s.
A strong cold front will begin to head our way on Sunday setting the stage for a cool, wet and windy pattern from Sunday through most of next week. Showers and thunderstorms are likely across SE Wisconsin on Sunday.
Some storms could become strong to severe on Sunday afternoon, producing damaging winds and small hail. Highs on Sunday afternoon will climb into the upper 70s before the cold front moves through on Sunday night.
Unsettled weather will continue on Labor Day through most of the week. On Monday, expect a chance for scattered showers otherwise cloudy skies and gusty winds up to 35 mph; expect highs in the upper 60s.
Tuesday looks cloudy, windy and cool with showers; highs will struggle to make it to 60°.
Wednesday and Thursday will be rainy along with the chance for some rumbles of thunder. High temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will be a little warmer in the mid to upper 60s.
