Last night we had very light snow and drizzle and the roads were just wet for the morning commute. After a dreary and damp start, we were hoping for some sunshine this afternoon, but the clouds and fog would not burn off. Despite the gray sky, highs still made it into the upper 30s..but not the lower 40s if the sun would have appeared.
Tonight is cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 20s with a light wind. By morning, a weak storm system arrives with a light wintry mix of snow and drizzle. There could also be some freezing drizzle throughout the day. Less than 1” of snow is expected, but the roads will be wet and possibly slick with highs in the mid 30s.
Behind that cold front, Thursday is sunny and cold with a high of 18. Wind chills will be in the single digits all day. We are already tracking the next big storm which gets here on Friday afternoon. It will be breezy and mild with highs in the low 30s. As a result, we will have a wintry mix by afternoon before it changes to snow in the evening and night.
This storm will linger into Saturday with snow showers in the morning, and then snow and rain in the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Stay tuned for this storm throughout the week. The sun, wind and cold returns on Sunday with highs mainly in the teens and wind chills near 0 all day.
