Clouds clear out on Thanksgiving, with temps in the 50s

and last updated

It has been a dreary 2 days with snow, sleet and a lot of rain...more than 1" across most of the area. That storm is finally leaving the area this evening and we will stay cloudy with patchy fog and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. There is no threat of roads getting icy with the warmer temps. By Thanksgiving morning it is cloudy but it gradually clears out in the afternoon with a SW wind we get to 50.

The nice weather continues for the weekend with sunshine and a high of 47 on Friday, 48 on Saturday and 47 on Sunday. The wind picks up a bit on Sunday ahead of the next cold front that gets here Sunday night with a light rain/snow mix. That mix will linger into early on Monday, and then we clear out and it is windy and cold. Highs will only be in the 30s, and with a 40 mph wind, wind chills will be in the teens. The rest of the week is sunny and cold with highs in the 30s.
