Frosty Start to the Week

and last updated

***FROST ADVISORY FOR ALL OF SE WI FROM 1AM THROUGH 9AM MONDAY***

It is our day with highs stuck in the 40s, we haven't been this cold since early May and the coldest air of the season so far arrives tonight. Skies have cleared, this will allow temperatures to drop to 34 in Milwaukee and 30 inland with widespread frost possible by Monday morning. A Frost Advisory goes into effect at 1am tonight and expires at 9am on Monday so cover or harvest your tomatoes, basil and any other non-hardy plants you have left in the garden.

Monday will look nice and feel better than we've had this weekend thanks to the sunshine and lighter wind speeds, temperatures will top out close to 50°. A warm front sweeps through Tuesday to bring clouds, wind and scattered showers back to the forecast but it only looks to be a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain.

Wednesday and Thursday we dry out again with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies, a breezy wind and highs in the low 50s. Another warm front moves in on Friday to boost temperatures close to 60 degrees but rain chances return late Friday and into the weekend. The heaviest rain looks to hit on Sunday and into Monday at this point.
