Ending the week with sun and cooler temperatures

and last updated

After last evenings rain, the wind shifted to the NW with gusts near 40 mph as temps dropped to 30 by morning. Today was sunny, windy (NW 20-40 mph) and nice with highs in the mid to upper 40s. It would have been a great day without the wind. Clouds increase tonight while the wind diminishes to 5-10 mph and we have some frosty with lows in the upper 20s. Saturday is mostly cloudy from a storm passing to our south, but we will see no precipitation. The closest flakes are just south of the state line. The NE breeze will keep temps in the mid 30s all day. This will be the first cool weekend in a month.

Sunday has more sunshine, but the NE wind will keep the lakefront in the mid 30s and inland near 40. Monday is mostly cloudy but warmer with highs in the mid 40s. We will see some light rain and flurries Monday night into Tuesday morning, then it is sunny and 46 in the afternoon. The best chance for rain is late Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid 40s.
