The arctic blast settled in overnight with Milwaukee’s first below zero temp of the season. We woke up to -3 with a wind chill near -20. Fond du Lac was -19 with wind chill near -30. It was sunny and cold again today with highs in the low to mid teens and wind chills of 0 to -5. It will be cold this evening for Valentine’s Day with temps staying around 10, but a SW wind increases to 15-30 mph dropping wind chills to -10. That SW wind will increase to almost 40 mph later tonight and early on Saturday, and it warms temps to near 20 by sunrise and wind chills near 0.
Saturday is cloudy, windy and warmer with a high of 34, SW winds to 30 mph in the afternoon, and light snow and drizzle. Any accumulation is just a dusting. The sunshine returns on Sunday with highs near 32 and a light breeze. Another storm system moves in on Monday with morning snow showers that turn to rain as temps warm to 38. Behind that storm system, Tuesday is sunny, windy and colder with highs in the 20s and a NW wind gusting to 30 mph.
