Flurries by noon and light snow by mid afternoon Thursday

and last updated

We woke up to clouds and temperatures below zero for everyone except Milwaukee which was 4 above. High temps got into the low to mid teens along the lake and single digits inland. The clouds did clear out by late afternoon giving us some sunshine but that is bad for this evening as temps will once again drop quickly. Inland areas will be -14 overnight with wind chills to -20 and Milwaukee at 0 with a wind chill of -10. Clouds increase in the morning and we will see flurries by noon and light snow by mid afternoon. We will have about 1" by the evening commute and up to 2" total by late evening. Because of the cold, dry air, this will be very light and fluffy snow.
