Burts of 90º weather on the way

June 1st is the start of Meteorological summer and this week will feel like summer. Today was mostly cloudy and mild with highs in the lower 70s and a few scattered light rain showers. A warm front moves in tonight and keeps lows in the upper 60s with increasing humidity.

Tuesday is sunny, hot and humid with a high of 90. That would tie a record from 1944. The cold front arrives late Tuesday night with scattered storms after 10pm. SE Wisconsin is under a slight risk for severe storms and central and western WI under an enhanced risk. The main threat is large hail and damaging winds.

There is still a chance for morning t’storms on Wednesday, then it becomes sunny and warm with a high near 80…and less humidity.

Thursday is sunny with highs near 80, and Friday is in the low 80s with a few afternoon tshowers developing from another cold front. The weekend is cooler with highs in the upper 60s near the lake to near 80 inland.
