Dense Fog Advisory

and last updated

***Dense Fog Advisory for all of southeastern Wisconsin from 12am-10am Monday***

The heavy rain and storms thankfully missed us, hitting northern Illinois instead, with many locations only picking up a few hundredths to a tenths of an inch of rainfall which is great news for waterlogged communities in the south. The clouds have been making it look deceptively cool outside but it is warm and muggy and with all the moisture still in the air we could see a few isolated sprinkles before 10pm tonight and fog developing late tonight with lows near 63 degrees in Milwaukee.

Monday starts out with areas of fog that may be dense at times so a Dense Fog Advisory will be in effect for the morning drive. The fog will be slow to lift and we'll see cloud cover through much of the morning before a slow afternoon clearing trend allows the sunshine to work back into the forecast. Temperatures will be in the low 70s with a light wind eventually off Lake Michigan from the northeast but it will still be muggy. Tuesday will be similar with a slighly foggy start to the day before clearing but it will be warmer with highs in the upper 70s as the wind changes to being from the southeast.

Wednesday the humidity will still be around with the mercury climbing close to 80 degrees, feeling warmer in the sunshine we are expecting. A cold front tries to move in Wednesday night and into Thursday but it stalls out, leaving us with partly cloudy skies, highs close to 80 degrees, muggy air that could bring showers off and on through Friday morning. The cold front finally sweeps out the moisture from the air in the form of rain on Saturday night, leaving Sunday feeling much more like September with temperatures falling back into the 70s.
