Spotty showers for the morning commute

and last updated

Thursday felt like fall all day with lows in the 40s and 50s, a brisk wind and afternoon temps mainly in the 60s. The wind dies down this evening and temps will drop into the 50s as clouds increase. Those clouds will bring spotty showers after 4am and into the morning hours. A SW wind will increase in the morning to 30 mph and over, and temps will get into the upper 60s. By afternoon, showers and t’storms become likely with heavy rain at times during the evening. The rain should be out of here before midnight, and most of the area will get at least 1”, and some areas could see close to 2”.

Behind that storm system, Saturday is partly cloudy, breezy and cool with highs only in the lower 60s…a true fall day. Clouds and the chance for rain increases Saturday night and off and on for Sunday with afternoon highs in the mid 60s. We could see another half inch of rain. A warm front is here on Monday with a few morning showers, then a strong SW wind brings in steamy humidity and highs near 80. T’storms are likely on Tuesday with highs in the 70s.
