***DENSE FOG ADVISORY FOR FOND DU LAC AND SHEBOYGAN COUNTY UNTIL 10AM***

Today marks the second warmest Christmas Day on record for Milwaukee, it was so warm that a lake breeze actually developed earlier this afternoon. Now it is another foggy night for folks well north of Milwaukee where a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect again for Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties until 10am on Thursday. There will be areas of fog across southeastern Wisconsin with mostly cloudy skies, a light southerly wind and temperatures in the low 40s to kick off Thursday. It will be another mild day but the wind will be increasing to 10-15mph from the south to bring our high temperature into the mid-50s again. A cold front swings through in the afternoon though, keeping us mostly cloudy through the day.

The sunshine returns on Friday in the wake of the cold front so temperatures will not be as mild, only climbing into the low 40s, which is still warmer than average for the end of December. Friday will be the best day for travel around the region with dry conditions and a light wind. A storm system moves in for the weekend with rain likely on Saturday and Sunday with close to an inch of water expected before the colder air moves in behind this system to change the rain over to a brief, light snow late Sunday night and into Monday with little accumulation expected there. Highs over the weekend will be close to 50 degrees before the cold front kicks up the wind on Sunday and drives temperatures into the 30s for next week.
