Hate to break it to white Christmas lovers, but according to Storm Team 4 Meteorologists, it's likely not going to happen this year.

We're amid a warm-up, according to Meteorologist Brian Gotter. The unseasonable temps will continue throughout the holiday weekend with highs in the 40s and approaching 50° on Monday.

The seven-day forecast calls for a pleasant Christmas Eve in the mid-40s with Christmas Day bringing some rain.

Historically, southeastern Wisconsin has a 41-50% chance of a white Christmas with more than an inch of snow on the ground, according to the National Weather Service.
