Wisconsin's Howard Moore will not coach in 2019-2020 season, suffers health setback

MADISON — The University of Wisconsin-Madison men's basketball assistant coach who lost his wife and daughter in a fatal car crash will not coach in the upcoming 2019-2020 season, according to a statement.

Howard Moore recently experienced a health setback at his Madison home, prompting him to be moved to a long-term care facility. His family released a statement through the Badgers on Twitter.

Moore recently needed to be transported to a local hospital when he went into cardiac arrest.

The family thanked the community for its support in the statement.
