MILWAUKEE -- The 53rd Annual Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade was Saturday. The event brought thousands to Milwaukee’s downtown.

Angie Agatha has been coming to the parade for the past 11 years.

“My daughter was in the parade for years and now we keep coming. We love it,” said Agatha.

However, this wasn’t the only reason many people were downtown. Besides the parade, Marquette’s Men's Basketball Team played Sunday Afternoon. It was an important game as a share of the Big East Conference was on the line.

Eric Thyne was out early Saturday. He walked through the parade route, making his way to Fiserv for the big game.

“We need a win today,” said Thyne.

The downtown area in Milwaukee will only get busier as the day continues. The Milwaukee Bucks play at Fiserv at 8pm.
