Whitnall High School basketball star Tyler Herro was drafted by the Miami heat with the 13th pick of the NBA draft.

Herro played college ball at the University of Kentucky. He was the lowest ranked recruit of those that went to Kentucky in 2018, but made a name for himself anyways. He was the team leader in minutes per game and scored 24 at Louisville, 20 at Auburn, and 19 at Florida. When he dropped 29 points on Arkansas, everyone was finally on notice.

"I guess it was one of those nights where I couldn't miss," Herro said. "I guess I just had it going. I know I surprised a lot of people."

During the game against Arkansas, Herro said, "I am a bucket" which quickly caught on. It became a motto and even made it onto t-shirts.

Herro only played one season at Kentucky and averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
