The Wisconsin native brother-sister duo Becca and Matt Hamilton fell to China Friday in the mixed curling event.
The Madison residents came out ahead with two quick points in the first end, but couldn’t keep their momentum going and fell 6-4 to China, who took third at the 2017 World Championships.

The loss nearly eliminates the pair from medal contention as they fall to 1-4 with just two games remaining.
They beat Team OAR (Russia) in their first match, but dropped the next two to Canada and defending World Champions Switzerland.
The Hamiltons would need to win their next two matches and have enough teams also finish 3-4.
