MILWAUKEE — Basketball stars Jalen and Kobe Johnson understand what was taken away from them when the coronavirus pandemic ended their season and their golden opportunity to go for back to back titles this year. But the entire Johnson family is ready to take on the next chapter in their sons' lives.

Jalen, a senior at Nicolet, is headed to Duke. When the entire Blue Devils coaching staff came to his home, it made quite an impression on him.

"It was crazy of course," Jalen says. "We wanted to give them the best show. That's how we live. We were preparing a week early for them to come in. It was great. That showed how much of a priority I was."

And like most families, the Johnsons are adjusting to staying at home. And you know mom likes to take those family walks.

"We ended up buying a game reverse charades," says Stacy Johnson, "We've played a few times, but I do make them take family walks with me and yes, they do have to come out"

While Jalen is heading to Duke, Kobe will be spending his senior year at Nicolet, hoping to get back for another chance at that state title.
