MILWAUKEE — Watching Marquette play in the NCAA Tournament becomes even more electrifying when you have a family member playing.
Golden Eagles’ Guard Kam Jones’ cousin Delon Boyd and his wife Yolanda watched him play at 4th Quarter Bar in Milwaukee.
“Yeah, he’s right there! He is number one,” said Delon pointing at the screen during the game. “You have your moments, 'go-go-go!' You know, and you root for the team have their back all the way.”
Yolanda added, “Marquette was his first choice, yes. He wanted to come, he wanted to shine. He wanted to show who he was."
He certainly did against Vermont Friday, and Kam is only a sophomore.
Above all, his family is excited he left Tennessee to play for Marquette and get a great education.

Dylan Penn, Matt Veretto and Robin Duncan each had 11 points for Vermont (23-11), whose 15-game win streak was snapped by the Golden Eagles.
Marquette led 39-30 at the half, despite Big East Player of the Year Tyler Kolek hitting only 3 of his 10 shots from the floor.
Kolek wasn't a big factor in the game, getting his fourth foul early in the second. He finished with eight points after scoring in double figures for the previous 13 games.
