The Green Bay Packers are sending backup quarterback Brett Hundley to Seattle, according to a report.
Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky of ESPN report that the Packers will be getting back a 2019 draft pick in return. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, they will net a sixth-round pick.
The Packers traded with Cleveland for DeShone Kizer in the off-season to compete for the backup quarterback slot, and have apparently chosen him to play that role after an off-season of competition.
Drafted in the fifth round in 2015 from UCLA, Hundley started nine games for the Packers last year after the shoulder injury which ended Aaron Rodgers season.
He completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 1,836 yards, nine touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a passer rating of 70.6.
Last season as a rookie, surrounded by a lack of talent on arguably the worst team in football, Kizer completed 53.6 percent of his passes for 2,894 yards, 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in 15 starts.
