It's a bit of a crossroads game for the 1-1-1 Green Bay Packers as they face the Buffalo Bills at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay is attempting to overcome their penchant for slow starts this year, being outscored so far by a combined 21 points in the first quarter.
Aaron Rodgers' first quarter passer rating - an uncharacteristic 53.5. They've also only converted on 3 of 9 trips into the red zone.
Of course, that truth must be filtered through the truth of his knee injury which has hampered him all season long.
The Packers face a Buffalo team that surprisingly blew out the Minnesota Vikings on the road, particularly by using their pass rush. They sacked Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins four times and forced him into three turnovers.
Then there is the whole LeSean McCoy issue and his availability after a rib injury that has been the major off-field news on the other side. That and the child abuse allegations he has faced.
All in a game which the Packers know they need - and not just for the normal reasons of getting a W in the win column. This one is for their sense of self after three debacle-like contests where they could easily be 0-3.
Are they contenders? Or not?
Stay tuned. We may know more after this one.
