Aaron Jones apologized Tuesday after news surfaced that he had been arrested during a traffic stop in October.
Jones was pulled over for speeding on Highway 172 in Brown County on October 1. He allegedly admitted to a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper that he had smoked marijuana a few hours before.
"I owe an apology to my family, to my teammates, coaches, the fans and the Packers organization," Jones told reporters Tuesday. "I made a mistake and I take full responsibility for it. It won't happen again. I can't speak on it because it's an ongoing legal matter."
Dashcam video showed Jones undergoing field sobriety tests after getting pulled over.

He pleaded not guilty to charges of operating with a restricted controlled substance, speeding in a 55 mph zone and operating without a valid license.
Jones is scheduled to be back in court on February 1. The NFL does not take action against players until after a situation is finalized in court, so Jones will likely finish out the season once he returns from an injury.
