Packers fans invade Chicago for pep rally, Thursday night game

CHICAGO — Packers fans are gearing up to bring the spirit of Green Bay to Chicago on Wednesday.

The Chicago Bears and Packers are kicking off the NFL season at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at Soldier Field. The game will be broadcast on TODAY’S TMJ4.

Packers fans are planning to gather at a Packers Everywhere pep rally at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Will’s Northwoods Inn, 3030 N. Racine Ave., in Chicago.

Will’s Northwoods Inn is scheduled to open at 9:30 a.m., with pre-rally festivities. Packers prizes will be awarded beginning at 4 p.m.

Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will take part in the pre-gameday excitement by greeting fans and participating in a question-and-answer session with Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Packers.

Packers alums Mark Chmura and Frank Winters also plan to attend, and they will socialize and take photos with fans

A roundtable discussion with packers.com’s Mike Spofford and Wes Hodkiewicz will conclude the event.

Fans planning to attend the rally are encouraged to sign up in advance for Packers Pass to have a chance to win autographed Packers items including a Jaire Alexander signed helmet, a Davante Adams signed jersey and other prizes.

To register for the opportunity to win prizes, fans should download the official Packers mobile app or visit packers.com/pass to sign up. Rally attendees must have their Packers Pass scanned on-site at the designated prizing area to see if they’ve won. Entrants must be present at the rally to win.
