GREEN BAY -- A Green Bay Packers player in the statehouse? Cheeseheads will have to keep dreaming.
Some fans of the green and gold got excited Thursday when news spread that a "Mark Tauscher for Governor" page had popped up on Facebook.
"This is a grassroots effort to encourage Mark to run for Governor of Wisconsin," the page's 'About' section reads. "We are not affiliated with Mark Tauscher, yet."
It doesn't seem like they will be in the future, either. The former right tackle threw cold water on the idea he's running for office on his radio show "Wilde and Tausch" Friday morning:

Tauscher was an anchor on the Packers offensive line for 11 seasons, appearing in 134 games. He now has a daily radio show on Milwaukee's 540 ESPN.
