The Packers have announced that the NFL has suspended cornerback Demetri Goodson for four games this upcoming season.
The team says he will miss games one through four due to a violation of the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.
He can take part in preseason camp, off-season workouts and preseason games, and return in the team's fifth game of the year.
Goodson has mainly been a backup for the team, with a pass defensed and 14 games played in 2015 after his 2014 rookie season.
The Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein also reports that the Packers have released Nate Palmer, an inside linebacker who lost playing time to newcomer Jake Ryan.
