GREEN BAY — SeatGeek used feedback from 3,200 NFL fans to find out the best stadium in the country. Lambeau Field has homefield advantage in the atmosphere department — for good reason.
"Everyone there is friendly and will treat you like a brother no matter what team you’re rooting for," read an entry.
Because nothing beats a warm Wisconsin welcome, Lambeau ranked first ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium in second and the New Orleans Saints' Mercedes-Benz Superdome in third.
"When you step out to the entrance to the field, stand back and just look at the field to soak it all in," read an entry.
Food was also a point of contention in this survey. The culinary masterpieces of bacon nachos, pretzel-wrapped brats and pastrami melts landed Lambeau in the No. 2 spot behind Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
A 2013 completed renovation of Lambeau's bathrooms helped them to fourth in the league in that category.
The Packers are back at Lambeau on Sunday as they take on the Vikings in their second game of the season.
