Former Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb signed a 1-year deal to join the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday after spending the past eight seasons with the Green and Gold.

Cobb gave a heartfelt farewell to not only the Packers but the fans and city of Green Bay as well in a lengthy Instagram post Friday.

"I will never forget the excitement of my first bike ride to training camp," the post read. "The 1st Touchdown. The Barrel Roll. All of the Lambeau Leaps. The feeling I get when Packer fans can vividly remember where they were on the 4th down TD at Soldier field. The Hail Mary catch. We have many memories we will share together for the rest of our lives."

Cobb ended the post by saying he was honored to don the 'G' on the side of his helmet. Cobb leaves the Packers with over 5,500 receiving yards and 41 touchdowns.

Cobb's deal with Dallas is worth $5 million.
