Julius Peppers, a one-time Green Bay Packers defensive end, announced he was calling it quits after 17 NFL seasons.

In an article for The Players' Tribune, Peppers mainly focuses on his 10 seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

He gave a special thanks to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for "being an all-time great player and teammate ... and for making me believe that somehow, a Hail Mary can be a high-percentage throw."

Peppers ends his career with nine Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl appearance in 2004 with the Panthers.
