CHICAGO — Thousands of football fans took part in the NFL Fan Experience in Chicago’s Grant Park before the Packers-Bears season opener Thursday.

The league filled the park with all sorts of activities for fans. The big party celebrated the league’s 100th season.

Bears fans and Packers fans could be seen taking part in the activities that included field goal kicking exercises, player autographs, video game experiences, and concerts by Meghan Trainor and Meek Mill.

“I didn’t think it was going to be like this. It is so much fun. The camaraderie is really amazing. Everyone is so nice despite the rivalry,” said Nami Shah, who traveled to Chicago from New York for the game.

Packers fan Marcus Towers was honored to have the fan experience and the season opener in Chicago.

"It's an honor they usually give to the Super Bowl champs, but they chose here because (of the) 100-year anniversary. What other rivalry do you have better than Green Bay and Chicago?” said Towers.
