WISCONSIN — The Green Bay Packers second round pick A.J. Dillon might be growing up. But not in all ways.
"I got a suit, and I got a job, and I'm paying rent. So I'm an adult now," Dillon said with a laugh.
The 22-year-old has spent his off time during the coronavirus pandemic staying busy in the gym.
"I always joke like, if I wasn't like a football player, I think I was like a nerd. I know it's not the right word to say nowadays but, I just got blessed with like athleticism. I like photography. I got a drone, so I take and make drone videos all the time," said Dillon. .
He's 250 pounds. So is he a big running back, or not?
"It's hard to say that he plays smaller than a 250 pound back. He's obviously a very, very big man. You know, I'm excited to have him on the team. I mean that's a really, really exciting room," said Nathaniel Hackett, Offensive Coordinator for the Packers.
"I feel like a lot of people kind of put me in this old school, big back because of my weight. And yeah, I do weigh 250 but it's not like, I'm not out here looking crazy, you know so. I just feel like I've got a lot more to prove and a lot more to show," said Dillon.
But with Aaron Jones and possibly Jamaal Williams? It could be a three headed monster, for the running, Pack.
"Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, and a couple other guys in the running back room. And they've welcomed me with open arms and you know just, I'm just trying to learn it. Learn the offense and be able to help the team the best I can," said Dillon.
