MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks are "distraught and angered" over the death of George Floyd. The team released a statement regarding Floyd's death on Sunday, as well as racial issues in our society.
"We are distraught and angered by the senseless death of George Floyd, but we know this is not an isolated case. Racial biases, abuses of power and injustices continue to plague communities throughout the country, including Milwaukee. There needs to be more accountability," said the Bucks in a press release.

The Bucks remain committed to addressing issues of social injustice, and are deeply committed "to make meaningful change for African-Americans and all marginalized members of our community," the statement reads.
The Bucks statement comes one day after Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed the situation on Twitter.
I really don’t know how to put into words exactly how I feel, but one thing I know for sure is that enough is enough! It’s time for change! #GeorgeFloyd #AhmaudArbery
