MILWAUKEE — If you watched Game 1 of the Bucks versus the Pistons, it was easy to tell that Detroit desperately needs Blake Griffin to play.

However, according to Yahoo NBA writer Vincent Goodwill, Griffin is "likely" to miss the entire first round series with a knee injury.

Griffin has been battling this injury for several weeks, but there is no structural damage.

For Detroit, this news is devastating. Without Griffin, keeping up with the Bucks is highly unlikely.

Griffin had a career year this season while making his sixth All-Star team, averaging 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists. He is shooting 36.2 percent from 3-point range.

The Bucks lead the series 1-0 and will take on the Pistons in Game 2 on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
