Wisconsin grandma cheering on her grandson on the Rockies

It's no question Brewers Fever has taken over Wisconsin and drowns out the Colorado Rockies cheers.

However, one Oostburg, Wisconsin  Rockies fan has a very big reason for her cheers, DJ LeMahieu is her grandson.

Eleanore LeMahieu is the mother of 3, grandmother of 7, and will be 100-years-old this December. She says she doesn't have a favorite grandchild, even though DJ plays in the MLB.

"He is very good, he's special," said Eleanore. "He treats me special."

Eleanore's late husband was a Chicago Cubs fan, she admits she wasn't originally keen on baseball. But the family was a Cubs family and DJ was good at it.

It was a dream come true when DJ was drafted to the Cubs in 2009, and it fulfilled a long time prediction DJ's father, Tom LeMahieu, made.

"I can remember Tom saying,'He's gonna be a baseball player,' and he was even talking maybe that he would be professional," said Eleanore.

At 99 years young, Eleanore is far from the stereotypical 'old person'. She travels to almost every Rockies game at Miller Park. But if she can't see DJ in person, she'll watch on TV or use her I-Pad to stream the game.

"He seems to want to contact with me all the time," said Eleanore.

She smiles reading messages and pictures the two have taken together over the years. When DJ won a Gold Glove Award, two actually, he made sure to send her a miniature replica mitt and an autographed picture.

Eleanore admits that she wants the Rockies to win the World Series. We'll have to see about that.
