A report says that the Milwaukee Brewers will be holding on to one of the key members of their top-flight bullpen.
Adam McCalvy of MLB.com saysthat the Brewers are picking up their $3.175 million contract option for Jeremy Jeffress for the 2019 season.
Jeffress went 8-1 with a 1.29 ERA in 73 regular season appearances in 2018, and was a National League All-Star.
In eight postseason appearances, Jeffress struggled more with an 0-1 record and a 6.75 ERA.
