MILWAUKEE — Superstar outfielder Christian Yelich surprised some of his youngest fans at a local hospital during an off day for the team earlier this month.
But when Yelich's season ended after he fouled a baseball off his kneecap last week, kids spending time at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin wanted to return the favor, making a video to extend their well-wishes during his recovery.
Patients in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders made a video wishing the athlete well after his injury crushed his aspirations for winning the MVP award this year.
"Wishing you a good recovery, if I can do it, you can do it," a patient said in the video.
