Steve Alexander was able to experience Friday's playoff game, thanks to his 16-year-old daughter.
“Looked up tickets and they were kind of expensive cause it’s postseason and I knew how much he wanted to come so I surprised him with some,” said Payton Alexander.
Payton handed her dad an envelope during Thursday night’s game.
“I opened it up and kept reading all the sheets of paper. I was like what is this and she said you and I are going to the game tomorrow,” said Steve Alexander.
Payton wanted to do something special for her dad. He’s been by her side since she was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier this year. Payton is thankful she was able to find tickets.
“Started crying because he means so much to me, spending all that time in the hospital with me,” said Payton.
This is a day the Alexander’s aren’t taking for granted.
“Incredible, brought a tear to my eye,” said Steve.
